FLIGHT TRAINING

LEARN TO FLY!

PRIVATE PILOT'S LICENCE (PPL) 

This is the first modular training step to becoming a Commercial Pilot. Many PPL holders fly for pleasure or business.

Additional ratings can be added to this licence including Night Rating, Instrument Rating Restricted, and further aircraft types such as motor gliders and multi-engine aircraft.

Light Aircraft Pilots Licence
LAPL

The Light Aircraft Pilots Licence (LAPL) course consists of a minimum of 30 hours flying training consisting of 15 hours dual and 6 hours solo, followed by a flight test. 

9 written examinations detailed below.

The LAPL requires a LAPL or class 2 medical.

NIGHT RATING

You will learn about airfield lighting, navigation techniques in the dark, flying circuits and landing in the dark and how much fun it can be! The night rating is also required if you are considering moving on to commercial flying and is counted towards your commercial Pilot's licence training.

Instrument Rating
(Restricted)

Instrument Rating-restricted is an additional rating that can be attached to a UK CAA Pilot's licence. The rating allows the holder to fly in instrument metrological conditions (in cloud) in UK airspace up to and including class D. The holder is also allowed to fly instrument approaches in visibility down to 1800 meters.

Aerobatic Rating

The Aerobatic course is conducted in one of our Reims Cessna 150 Aerobat's.  The five hour course includes instruction in Looping, Rolling, Barrel Rolls, Aileron rolls, Stall turns and Spinning/ Spin recovery!
